relay?from starter to fuel shut off solenoid
| rustebad | I bought an f2560e at a sale, came with some issues. so far I have checked out connections, fuses , fusible fuse, I now have it that I can start it, but without the fuel solenoid in place. The solenoid does not stay retracted to allow the mower to start. AS I understand it, there needs to be current to the solenoid to keep pin retracted while mower is running. I can runi without the solenoid and stop iy with the kill switch. What am I missing |
| Butch | The older models have current to the valve while running. You should have current on the valve wire after it starts. If not, check the switch to see why it doesn't have current. You could move the wire to the run side of the switch on a good terminal that goes off when the switch is turned off. The newer models do not have current on the valve all the time. I think it gets a shot of current when it's turned on to pop the valve into the correct position, then a shot of current to pop the valve back off when turned off. |
