| lloyd bergner | Hi! were trying to find out if the liffters for the l305dt are hydraulic or solid? Can any one give us a answer.
|
| Butch | Think you will find they are solid lifters, and have to be adjusted after so many engine hours, through out the life of the tractor. |
| Lloyd Bergner | THX! Butch They are a solid lifter. We've taken the head off and the intake valves were kissing the piston just enough to remove the carbon. Could be that the valve adjustment was out. No way to know for sure now. So since we have it apart this far we are looking at possibly re-placing bottom end bearings, rings, intake valves & springs, even though there seams to be no play on the rod bearings. What we need to find out is the tourge specs and how the timing is done, both for the injectors , and camshaft or valve opening IE: INTAKE OPEN A.T.D.C. 12 degree. Also a good parts supplier. Any help would be appreciated. CHEERS! Lloyd |
