L225

Kyle Please help,

I just own an 1977 L225 kobuta, I recently changed the fluids, everything is fine until I shift into gears and nothing happen, I hear sounds like something is slipping, I am sure noting is broken.
Can something can me what is wrong? Help!!
Is it something I need to adjust, bleed???

Kyle

Rick Be sure you have the system full. Sounds like
air could be in the lines. Also be sure you
have your filters on good, they can suck air if
not seated correct.

Kyle Thank you Rick,
I believe that air is in the line. How do I fix the problem? Can I able to do myself or bring it to the shop?

Thank very much!! Kyle

Rick It should bleed its self out. Just start the
engine and let it idle for a while, get on
the tractor and work the hydraulic controls
a few minutes at a time untill it starts to
work. Be sure to check the fluid level often.
just a guess.

farmm This is manual shift correct? If so the only thing to cause that is the clutch or badly out of adjustment clutch. Did you by chance get oil on the clutch plate by overfilling transmission.
Kyle Rick, I will try what like you said. Thank you sir!!

Farmm, Yes it a manual shifter, and also you are right that I got the clutch plate from overfilled the transmission. Because I did fill to cover much of everything if you into the fill hole.

What can I do from this point??? Thank you again.

farmm The transmission level plug is just rearward of the clutch petal about halfway down from the fill plug. There should also be a vent hole at the bottom of the clutch area I think, make sure it is not plugged. Drain the excess oil and maybe the clutch will eventually clean itself of oil, so that it is usable.
Kyle Hi guys,

I trained out more than two gallons of the fluids. I will look for the vent hole and give a couple of the days for the machine to clean itself. Will follow up to let you know. Thank you for everything. Farmm..

KYle

Kyle Hi guys,

Located the drain plug (with a washer like any oil nuts)got over 2 gallons of the oil out. Cleaned the battery wires. Start up good, put the into gear and still no moving, I didn't do anything before maybe I shifted some lever? Reach down left and under seat, shift and release the clutch, bingo!! Tractor is strong ready to work. Thank so much Farmn and Rick!!

Kyle
