B26 loss of power

Lately my tractor has been loosing power. It only occurs going uphill with a load. Both of these criteria have to be met or it runs just fine. I changed fuel filter (because it acts like it is starving for fuel) But, in hindsight I don't think that could be it because that has nothing to do with having a load on....hhmmmmm

Does it smoke when losing power or does it just slow down. Are you using high range when going uphill. Low range is better and not as hard on the transmission.

I meant to say does it lose RPM or does it lose ground speed?
