Kubota B7200 tires
| Will Nash | I bought a 1994 Kubota B7200, HST 4WD sub compact from an individual. I was of the impression from a dealer I had looked at prior that I could replace the turf tires with an industrial or ag tread. What I now find is that not only can I not find industrial or ag tread but I can't even replace the turf tread at any tire dealer I can find. The tires are 15" rear and 10" front and the local Kubota dealer tells me that if I can't find tires at a tire dealer he will sell me just the front for $500. First, I can't see the point of manufacturing a four wheel drive machine and then relegating it to being a lawn mower by giving it a wheel that only accepts a turf tire. Second, I am outraged that a tractor as popular as the B7200 was cannot be fitted with something as simple as new rubber without going to Japan. It is hard to see myself spending $1,500 on tires for a $3,000 tractor. Please help. Will Nash |
| Sam | Check out Goodyear, go to the truck store, they have all kinds of odd tires. The retail Goodyear stores can't help you. You might also look for AG style wheels that will fit. Just be careful to get the correct ratio for the 4x4 thing. |
| farmm | Also check out firestoneag.com for there selections and a local dealer. Yes sometimes turf and ag tires use a different rim, but it should be possible to find an ag tire to fit your rim, as someone said keep the height the same or you will mess up the 4wd balance.

| Will Nash | Thanks Guys, I did find ag tires to fit the 10 and 15 inch rims from a local dealer but not in the same height and the difference in the circumference ratio was more than 5% which I felt was too much. If I don't find anything with the two suggestions you gave me I am considering just removing the front drive line and using a ribbed tire on the front. It will have better traction that way in wet conditions than with the 4wd and turf tires. |
| d walker | I have the same tractor, replaced front turf tires at a local store in Newark Ohio, called TCI, tires. Used Firestone turf and field tire 21 x 8.00-10, fits fine and the old chains still fit as well. I don't remember price, maybe 50$ each? |
