Kubota L3000DT Check Chains
| Jerry | Hello, can anyone tell me the correct min/max length of the check chains to the lower links on the 3 pt hitch in the rear of a L3000DT series tractor? I have everything except for the Left & Right Check Chains and the lower link holder. Thank You, Jerry |

The check straps are bar links with a turn |

You the man Smokin' Dog. I really do appreciate that info. You are spot on with what I'm dealing with. Until that I was just looking at a line sketch in the owners manual. Local dealer wants about $96 for each side. Just trying to save some $$$ with the economy the way it is. |
| farmm | Like Smoking says you can make your own , but you have to find a turnbuckle and 1/4 inch chain of the right length and clevis's that all hook together. Many farm stores have what you want. It just would take a little thought to get all the connections oriented right. But would be a lot cheaper than $96.

| Smokin Dog | No, just a good place to keep it.

| Smokin Dog | Just a thought, I had a older tractor, and needed the same stay straps as you. I measured all my 3pt implements across the lower two pins. To my luck they were within 1 1/2 inches of one another in width. I mounted the one with the shortest measure, then all I did was add a length of chain on each side to where the chains were almost tight when the blade was lowered. This held the blade steady. When I installed a cultivator which had the widest measure the chains were a small amount slack, and the implement would rock side to side a small amount but not enough to hurt anything. I did this with no turnbuckle, used it for over 20 years with no problems, but one. You have to use a bungie cord to hook the two arms together when your driving the tractor with nothing on the hitch, to keep the arms off the rear tires. |
