L3010 trans filter
| Dale Smith | I am trying to get the transmission filter off of my L3010. I can get the filter to rotate, but does not unthread. I also noticed what appears to be a nut with square slots cut into it towards the end of the filter adjacent to the trans. Is this part of the filter to be removed? My new Kubota replacement Filter does not have this piece, and I do not want to destroy it trying to remove it. This is the original filter from the factory

| Sam | Not sure of the L3010, I have a L3000 gear drive. The tranny filter on it, has a plate to remove, two bolts, then you see the little round silver filter tube, You insert a wooden dowel into the hole, kink the dowel side ways and pull the filter screen out. If your's is like mine, you can rotate the filter screen but it wont come out untill it's pulled, no threads. Hope this helps. |
