3pt lift rate on L 2800 HST

Dutch I just bought a new Kubota L-2800 HST last fall. The lift rate of the 3 point hitch is too fast and is jerky. It would be hard to use any type boom pole on the machine. Does anyone know if there is a way to slow the rate of lift or smooth it out?
Gary Not sure on your model, but most have a had wheel under the seat to shut off or throttle the flued flow to you 3-point hitch. If you have one just turn it in until you get the desired flow rate, you also can keep the implement raised in the upper position using this hand wheel.
Dutch Gary, the handle under the front of the seat is indeed a control valve but it only controls the lowering rate. :-)
Mike I have the same problem with my L3400 which is similar to the L2800. They are considered by Kubota to be a basic tractor, not their top of the line. The hydraulic control valve is cheap and not the same quality as their more expensive tractors. I heard of some dealer replacing the valve with the better one under waranty.
Gary Hmm, yours must be different, as mine does control up and down flow, sorry!
Al There has been a problem with the L2800/3400 with the lift jerking on the way up. The dealer replaced my valve with a different model to fix this problem at no charge. Others have had the valve replaced for free also. Do a Google search for "l2800 lift shudders" and you should find posts about this. The Kubota rep should also know about it if your dealer doesn't.
Casey There looks to be a fix for this. Take a look on Tractorbynet.com jerky l series 3pt hitch fixed will get you to the thread. Requires adjusting the control valve under the top plate of the deferential case. Just completed, watching for now, but planing to fix mine this summer.
