| Mike Culler | Have a JD LX176 from a friend. This may be as simple as a bad battery. I got the JD beginning of last summer, seemed to run fine. At the end of the summer, I would have to charge and/or jump it to get it started. When I cut it off after an hour or more, it would not start again. Nothing, nada. But it would jump start and run till I cut it off again, then same deal. Just now tried to crank it after the winter (kept in garage), had to jump it and it started and ran for about 4-5 minutes, then died. Could not jump it, nothing. Voltmeter shows about 2 volts. Maybe just a new battery? Alternator? Voltage regulator? Any help appreciated. Mike in NC
