Jimmy On the 2-bolt flange bearing beneath the blade drive, is there supposed to be a spacer? The one I,m working on has one and I keep wearing out bearings. It doesn't look like it belongs there but I don'thave a manual.
Thanks, Jimmy

kyle The spacer I am thinking of has a allen head screw to tighten it to the pto shaft. The few that I have seen are after the locking collor towards the front of the manchine, and I can't see it serves any purpose. Check your drive shaft to the deck. I have found that if the splines get wore on the shaft were it telescopes
it creates enough vibration to wear the bearing in the flange. A complete shaft is about $400 but it seems to make the bearings last.
