| Jason C | Can anyone tell me what the cylinder/solenoid under the carb does? I broke the wire off mine, TRIED to repair it but it won't start now. Is there any way to bypass this solenoid so I can get it started without having to purchase a new one? Is there any good online stores for John Deere parts? Thanks for you help.

| Andy | The solenoid should be a fuel shut off solenoid. You will probably have to buy another but they are not that expensive.
