| Chris Padgett | i have a john deere 185 that will not start without a boost from my charger. I checked all wiring and cleaned contacts, bought a new battery, and an expensive voltage regulator. I still have the same problem. Once i shut it off it wont turn over. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
| Ken | John Deere seels a little relay switch which mounts on the side of the motor and increases the power to the starter. I think I paid $25.00 at the dealership for it. I put it on myself in 15 min. That should fix your problem
