| ARK | I have been looking at these Tractors and am trying to decide on the engine type Kohler or Briggs. Which one is more reliable? Which one is recommended? Thanks.

| Harry | Kohler is better made and will outlast the Briggs. But the Briggs seems to be easier to work on. (overhaul,etc) But both will outlast the rest of the mower, if you keep up the maintenance. |
| john | Just purchased a L100 a few weeks ago, the 17 hp single cylinder briggs is a plenty strong enough motor for the 42 in deck, the deck will shake and shudder from overloading it with clippings well before the engine would ever bogg down. The manual tranny feels good compared to a few others I've had

| Steve H | was looking at the LA105 for my small lot......may pull trailer and lawn sweeper. Just wondering if the grass cutting works good. The wife is real picky about the cut looking nice. Now I use an old Simplicity but don't cut very nice.
