| bontai Joe | If the rest of the tractor is in good condition, it is DEFINITELY worth while to rebuild the engine. I can't tell you what it would cost, but I can tell you that the tractor can not be replaced with an equal new machine for less than $10,000.

| bontai Joe | You should check out www.weekendfreedommachines.org for more info on your tractor. It is a Deere specific site dedicated to pre 1992 garden tractors. They won't spam you and are an excellant source of info. Probably someone there that could give you a ballpark number on freshing up your motor.
