|dave||I have a mid-80s JD 850 tractor and the seat suspension is totally shot. The JD dealer wants a bit over $300 for a new one. I've seen many seats with suspension on eBay for around $75. Does anyone know if these will work?? Thanks!
|Stan||I don't think the 850 came with a hydraulic seat. The universal ones can be adapted to fit, but will sit tall and close to the steering wheel. I have one that I removed from the tractor that I just bought. The seat portion is totally worn out, but the hydraulic part still works. If you want this part of it to repair yours, then pay the shipping and packing costs and it's yours.
