Scotts Model L2048
|Seth||Scotts Model L2048, manufactured by JD.
Engine won't crank. It came on suddenly, has been running fine all spring. Turned it off one day, went to finish lawn, wouldn't crank. Battery has been verified good, (load test @ local auto parts store), ignition switch replaced, solenoid replaced, battery, solenoid and ground connections checked. Parking brake stepped on & mower deck off when trying to start. Tried jumping it with the car, cranked over right away. Still won't crank by itself.
|ponymare||If it cranks with jumpers, it sure sounds like a battery or starter problem. Have the starter checked.
