Problem Charging Battery What do I check?

You will need to first check the Main battery ground to verify it is not loose or has rust between the ring terminal and chassis ground point. Then charge the battery and test for a weak battery and possible dead cell. With a cheap volt meter et to 20 volts DC you should see 13-14.5 volts. If this is not present you will need to check the stator to verify it had not become damaged. One not that was first forgotten is to always clean you battery cables of any corrosion or loose connections.
