Daryl K	I have a 91 318 with a Onan P218G engine that blows out the oil filter seal. I have also noticed oil being pushed out the oil filter adapter gasket were it is bolted to the case. I inspected the oil bypass valve & found it to be in good working order. I then replaced the gasket & installed a new oil filter. Again,the same problems. I pulled the engine out to clean up all the mess & found that the rear crank seal was also popped out.This engine starts well & runs fair, has 800 hrs. on it. Could anyone please tell me what the problem is. thanks
Daryl K	318 John Deere Has 800 hrs.on an Onan P218G I am getting severe oil leaks at spin on filter & gasket on filter adapter to case. also rear seal was pushed out. Checked by-pass valve, but seemed fine. I have replaced the gasket & filters several times, but it keeps blowing them. Engine starts well & runs fair. Any suggestions?
John Heine	Check oil pressure with guage.I had a Dodge truck and had engine redone by rebuilder engine was good but in cold weather oil filter would leak checked pressure went over hundred pounds when cold replaced regulator no more problems.
brandon	check your crank case breather and the bottom screen, sounds like something is clogged and when it gets hot and expands it pushes oil out of the weakest spot which sounds like your oil filter
