JD 42-inch mower dek with a broken arm
| mason | I own JD L100. the 42-inch mower deck right arm broke off! This is strange, but it did happen. So, I'm looking just for a 42-inch deck without any parts. I don't need belts, blades, pully, etc, just the deck itself. would you happen to know where I can buy just the deck? the other option is to to take it to a welder to put the arm and the deck together. are there any junk yards for mowers? thanks in advance for your help. Mason in fairfax, virginia |
| bontai Joe | You can probably get it welded for $20. A new replacement deck shell will cost hundreds, a used deck will likely cost over a hundred. I'd get it welded.

| mason | Bontai Joe, Thanks for your reply. would you happen to know if JD or other mower shops do welding? it seems to me this is a common prrblems and they should be able to do it. Mason |
| bontai Joe | I would think most mower shops do welding, but I take mine to my car mechanic, he is cheaper.
