JD 42-inch mower dek with a broken arm

mason I own JD L100. the 42-inch mower deck right arm broke off! This is strange, but it did happen. So, I'm looking just for a 42-inch deck without any parts. I don't need belts, blades, pully, etc, just the deck itself. would you happen to know where I can buy just the deck? the other option is to to take it to a welder to put the arm and the deck together. are there any junk yards for mowers? thanks in advance for your help.

Mason in fairfax, virginia

bontai Joe You can probably get it welded for $20. A new replacement deck shell will cost hundreds, a used deck will likely cost over a hundred. I'd get it welded.
mason Bontai Joe,

Thanks for your reply. would you happen to know if JD or other mower shops do welding? it seems to me this is a common prrblems and they should be able to do it.

Mason

bontai Joe I would think most mower shops do welding, but I take mine to my car mechanic, he is cheaper.
