Lights and Cranking Problem
| Tyler Monday | http://www.ssbtractor.com/wwwboard/John_Deere_tractors.html#post I have a 67' 3020 24 volt system. I keep blowing the light because I am geting 24 instead of 12 volts to each light. I replace the main voltage regulator and it did not fix the issure. I posted a picture of the 4-way light control knob to help you guys out. Do these knobs have resistors built in or is there some other resister in the electrical system that takes the voltage down. PLEASE HELP. Also does anyone have the schematic or can tell me which wires go where on the control knob. I disconnected all the wires and did something wrong because now the tractor will not crank. THANKS |
| John Heine | There is a ground wire on battery posts that is off or it could be a fuse holder with a blown fuse look at battery connection and see if you can see it.I do not know how to send a schematic to you.Ground when it is good gives 12 volts for lights. When I said it could be a fuse holder it uses a slow burn fuse.
