310b JD injector pump

Could some one help please. Trying to find the "top, dead, center" on the fly wheel so I can replace the injector pump. Any ideas. I can not find the pin.

you have to buy the timing pin from the dealer . you can get close with a 5/16 bolt but not recommended. pump timing is very touchy. if all else fails remove #1 nozzle and use coat hanger to locate tdc

down near the left corner engine block plate is the pin for timing take it off and turn it around and put it in the hole in the flywheel. when it is timed correct the pin goes in , the line on the front pulley lines up and the injection pump is timed. in order to see the injection pump lines take the 2 screws off the side cover on the pump you will see 1 line at first by turning the engine by hand the other line will show up. pin in flywheel hole, line on front pulley, 2 lines on injection pump line up. ps fuel will leak out of pump side cover.
