John Deere F935.
| Arunima Dhar | Hello, How do you fix a problem of the engine dying on a John Deere F935 every time you push the forward or reverse pedal? Thank you for all your help. |
| bontai Joe | Sounds like the safety switch under the seat isn't working or has a bad wiring connection. If that switch does not send a signal back that you are in the seat, when you push the foot pedal to move it will shut off the motor. This is to prevent the machine from driving over an operator that has fallen out of the seat.

| Arunima Dhar | Thanks Bontai Joe. I was under the impression that the seat switch was working as you can't start the mower without sitting on the seat. However if the seat switch has two sets of contacts in it,maybe one set is not working. Thanks again for all your help. |
| bontai Joe | All the safety circuits run thru the seat switch circuit. The seat switch has only one set of contacts, but there is also a neutral safety switch that runs thru the same circuit to prevent the tractor from moving if no operator is sensed in the seat. Maybe the neutral safety switch or it's wiring is faulty. I am not sure where that switch is located....... Ok I just looked at Deere's parts site and there are a BUNCH of switches and relays referred to as having something to do with neutral. Beyond my skilll level to know which ones to check out. Do you have a schematic for the wiring?

| Arunima Dhar | Thanks bontai Joe. Found the other switch and the mower is now working. Really appreciate all your help!

| bontai Joe | Glad to hear you got it fixed and running.
