timming gear on 425

David Hill I have a 1996 425. I thing the timming gear is gone. The engine turns over but, the valves don't open. I don't have a manual. is the gear on the flywheel end or the water pump end?
Ben Wantland The timing gear is on the water pump (front) side of the engine. The cam gear is plastic, and it's common for it to lose its teeth.
