warren	Gooday. I have bought a John Deere excavator, I was told it is a 1986 model 18 tons, there is nothing on it to say if this is correct. It has a 348RC motor. I need to know how to adjust the tracks and where to fill the engine oil. Regards. Warren.
Dale G. Basgall	Warren : I believe you may have a 490, can you send a pic or get the 13 digit PIN number from the serial #plate on the machine. I think it's right below the cab where you get into the machine, under the cab. Dale G. Basgall
John Heine	Did they have a 490 in 1986 I am not sure but I don't think so.
John Heine	I guess I am wrong I looked on Google and they had 490 at that time.
