2510 hydraulic problem

Gary Bothun My 2510 gas, 1966, when it is running and I push the lever up so the 3 point arms should rise they go real slow or not at all. If I jerk the steering wheel to the side they will go good again but sometimes I have to jerk it 2 to 4 times to get the arms all the way up. Likewise with my #48 loader. I have the lever on the tractor locked down so I have oil flow to the Hyd. valve outlets all the time. I use the levers on the loader for up and down. When going up with the loader or the bucket I have to jerk the steering wheel several times to keep it going up. It is just like the oil flow stops inside the tractor. Any help or advice.
Ron Ketcham I just had a similar problem with my 4230 and the hydraulic system principles should be the same. My problem was that the steering would get very difficult and the loader would occasionaly go up or down very slowly when I moved the levers. Sometimes it was okay and then it would seem like the steering almost locked up. When I reved it up high, things seemed to get better. The dealer wound up overhauling both hydraulic boxes in the back of the tractor. He said that there were internal leaks that disrupted the flow of hydraulic fluid to the loader and the steering. Works fine now but it isn't cheap. My overhauls were about $800-$900 per hydraulic box. Hope yours is a simpler fix.
