LX 255 wont start

Jonathan Went to start my lx 255 and it will not start. Getting fuel but no spark. Fuses appear OK. Any suggestions?

Jonathan Found a black broken spring under the control panel. Could that be part of a safety ssytem that cuts off electric to the tractor?

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
