John Deere lawn tractor won't start

Megan	We have a john deere lawn tractor that seems to only start in the mornings. It will start every day in the morning but after work in the afternoon, it won't start. It has quit while mowing a couple of times and won't start back up until the morning. Any suggestions???
bontai Joe	Without knowing what year and model tractor you have, what brand motor is in it, it's impossible to offer any decent suggestions
Alan	Sounds like the is coil going. After you cut the grass and the motoer is hot you say you turn it off and/or have times it has quite. Check to see if you have spark at the plugs when this happens. Like Joe said it would help us more to help you if you tell us what model and year you have. Alan
Cecelia Mallin	We have this model GT262. The battery light remains on while mowing the grass. Then it dies and won't start unless you recharge it. What could be the problem? It is a 1997 Kawasaki motor.
