John deere 160 ( not LT) wiring diagram

Tristan Salman Looking for the wiring diagram for the older model JD 160 riding mower. Something is preventing the starter circuit from working.
L M Christianson Saw your question and was wondering if you located the schematic. Have same problem..unable to locate schematic. Extreme disappointment in JD products.
l_asblcr Have you tried the selenoid? Take a tester light and with the key in run - check the purple wire connection on the selenoid. If it does not light - replace it. My key would turn the mower off, but would not start it - once I replaced the selenoid it started right up with the key.
John K You need to wire in a 5 prong relay. These mowers have a problem with the starting circuits not providing enough power to trip the solenoid but do have enough power to trip the smaller relay. This should solve your problem.
