9n not running smoothly
| Ray M | my 9n after replacing plugs, changing fuel filter, and cleaning fuel sediment bowl only runs with choke knob in out position. If I push choke in it starts to sputter and quits. Any clues, I am not a mechanic, but have a brother in law who good with this sort of thing

I would start out by making sure you have fuel flow thru the carb. Remove the plug on the bottom of bowl and let run. should flow a pint in 2-3 minutes. If not the 9n came with three screens. One in the tank, part of sediment bowl, one in sedimet bowl, and one in elbow going into carb. a in line filter is usually not recommended on a gravity flow system, but people do it with no problems. Also the stand pipes in the tank are open to the fuel. the screen in the tank only stops the debris that is in the bottom of tank. |

| dd4 | Your sucking air from somewhere else. Try spraying some gumout or starting fluid around the carb and intake with the choke rod about half way (still running). When the idle picks up you found the leak!
