oil from exhaust gasket, no smoke from tail pipe

manny rivera this is about the same naa with carb problems or something, any way this oil or stuff is coming out of exhaust manifold but tractor does not smoke. thought it might be valve cover but took tank off to clean and saw oil leak from top of manifold. thanks
lha If the oil is coming from exh.gasket, you have oil pumping from valve guides or seals in a bad way.Time to remove head.---lha
manny rivera what should i do with the head after it is taken off.
Jim Loveridge Manny, You will have to take it to an automotive machine shop or a New Hollond tractor service center. They will check and replace the valve guides and do a valve grind. What part of the country do you live in? Or, just get the gas tank cleaned or replaced and run the tractor as is, keeping a watch on the oil level.
Bob G I would take it to a good shop and have them do a valve job on it. They will have the tools to do it right. May need new guides and or valve guide seals. I would use a NAPA shop if I could.
