Ford 8-n shifter lever

Gordon Batson I have an 1948 8-n ford with a problem.
The shifter lever swivels from left to right making it difficult to put in gear.Is this a simple fix? This is my first tractor.
Any help would be appreciated.

I believe you have a worn shifter pin, you will need to remove the top cover.
