i know this is for us 9n 2n 8n naa tractor guys, but i have a question about a different ford tractor. my dad asked me today if i had heard of an off set ford [ like a farmall 130 or 140] ? he said he remembered seeing one when he was a teenager but couldn't remember the name. said it may have been a Dextra. ring a bell to anyone out there?

I've never seen or heard of one but it could be they made one. I've seen some strange tractors that were made for special perposes. I like those orchard tractors some companys made with the low frame and big fenders.

Do a google search and there is a lot of info on the Fordson Dextra. They were made in England. I didn't see any info on an offset one but there was a lot of hits I didn't read.

I have a chart put out by New Holland that showes pictures of Ford or New Holland tractors through the years. There is a picture of a Ford 501 (1957-1961) that has an offset front axle. Could that be what your dad remembers?
