| JAY jOHNSON | I JUMPED THE BATERY BACKWARDS AND NOW THERES NO JUICE TO GET STARTED, I CHECKED THE BATTERY AND ITS OK. NOW WHEN I HOOK IT UP THE CABLES GET HOT, I GUESS THERES A SHORT BUT NOT SURE HOW TO FIND IT? WHAT DO U THINK. JAY

| Ken N Tx | If it is 6V, it is a positive ground.. 12V with alternator is negative ground |
| Bob G | 12 volt or 6 volt? postive ground or neg ground? Did you jump a 6 volt with 12? If so you may have stuck the points in the cutout relay, but that shold not make the cables to get hop, just drain your battery. Bad connection at any of the 4 ends of he battery cables. Stuck starter relay switch. Cables getting hot sure sounds like a direct short. Check cable going to starter relay. has to be shorting or it is the relay shorting. Good Luck |
| Jay Johnson | I took the starter of took it to a guy who rebuilds them, he took it apart and cleaned it it works fine and tractor started. not sure what happened. thanks for your help. Jay
