9n Overheated
| Don | Yesterday, while spring toothing a field, my 9N desided to show steam. No leaks, motor has about 200 hours on rebuild. Never gave any warning or hint. I figure it is the thermostat. any other thoughts? Is thermostat located in the hose itself or in the neck of the head?
|
| lha | thermostat is in top radiator hose should be about 1-1/2" up with spring toward motor.you can put a hose clamp or cable tye on the outside to keep it in place-----lha

| Bob G | make sure you do not overfill the radiator. just over the core, too much and will act like it is overheating. Make sure the radiator is not pluged with dirt or other matter. blow out with air from the fan side. Good luck |
| haroldrussi | Mine ran hot while cutting grass during a hot afternoon. I stopped and waited till it cooled and as long as I don't push it it runs ok. But I only have a 4 blade fan and no fan shoud which I hope to change to a 6 blade and add a shoud. |
