| Jimmy Hancock | I would like to know what I need to do to change from a 6 volt system to a 12 volt system. I have a 1954 to 1958 ford jubilee tractor. I would also like a wiring diagram if possible to show me the 12 volt system.

| Bob G | you can get a kit Do a google search for NAA 12 volt kit. I think a kit is better than trying to piece something together unless cost decides otherwise, in which case I would keep the 6 volts system. JMHO |
| Jim Loveridge | I have to throw my two cents worth in on this. A 6 volt battery has a lot more capicity than a 12 volt (more room for larger plates). So therefore they will last longer. You can buy a lot of 6 volt batteries over the years for what it will cost for a 12volt conversion. JMO.

| Bob G | Today I checked the date on my 6 volt battery in my 8n. I bought it in 2003 and it is going strong.
|
| Jimmy | Thanks Bob and Jim for the advice.

| Chuck S | when we parked the 4000 and went to start it no voltage to any thing wires seem to be burnt for some reason only voltage is at battery to starter nothing at switch or pannel |
