| Jim Shofield | I think I'd check the float, sounds like it's sticking. Jim |
| suburban-redneck | thanks for the tip, i'm new at the tractor thing.can you check for spark like on autos, pull plug and hold against manifold while rolling it over? now i don't think i'm getting fire, if you can check it that way.it has new points and cond.at this point im about ready to get the gas and hotdogs and have a campfire. thanks again for the tip, and helping us new guys out.

| Larry | Yes you can check for spark like a car. These old tractors are pretty simple. If it won't start you don't have spark or don't have fuel. Sounds like you have a lot of fuel. Maybe to much. Did you check the float?

| Jim Schofield | Take a test light and check for spark at the coil, in and out. I had that problen too. It sucked. I shorted out the points at condenser and magcily I had spark. Just lucky I guess. If you have juice going in and not going out it's the coil. If you have juice in and out it's got to be the points or condenser. I think I've bought just as many new condersers that were bad as good ones. Just a thought. Jim |
