Ford 8N 1952

(RVW) Bob Wilson Hi Guys,
Just purchased my Little Lady (1952 Ford 8N with front loader and rear scraper blade). She runs good when I get her started. She needs some T-L-C on wiring for battery and generating componets. She does need sheet metal. Hood, grill,side-plates and fenders. Possibly some dash parts. She sat outside in last 2 of our Michigan winter, spring, summer and fall periodes. I am in southeast Michigan near Detroit Metropolitan airport. Anyone know local clubs or individuals I can contact for tips on starting the right way to success with her? Thanks in advance.

Regards RVW

Bob G Sounds like you got a good tractor to start with and you will have fun getting her back in shape. Working on these machines is very rewarding. google smiths 8n's. real good source of info.

Can't help you with the contacts in your area.

If you don't already have one, I would get the I&T FO-4 service manual, it will be a big help.

Post before pictures and after pictures. they are always fun to see.

Good luck
Bob

RVW Hi Bob,

I am sure you all on this forum have varying degrees of passion for these tractors and I hope that doesn't change. Mostly because I am now stuck on this forum and you will be hearing more from me. Again THANKS.
From an (8N'r tuber) for life.
RVW
