53 NAA 3 point lift
| Mark S. La Porte Indiana | Just bought this tractor. When I start the engine the lift will not operate (lift) until it has run for a few minutes. After that it seems to operate fine. Any thoughts? Thanks Mark

| Bob G | My 8n does thast in the winter. The 90 wt oil take a bit to waarm up. make sure the oil level is where it should be. others may be more helpful!
|
| Mark S. La Porte Indiana | Thanks Bob. The oil levels are good, but I am going to change all the fluids and grease it ASAP. The hydraulic oil does have a slight milky look to it. I read on here that the breather is just a felt type item that could have left moisture in. Thanks again, Mark

| Bob G | The gear oil in my 8n gets the same way. I think it is condensation as it never sits out in the rain and I don't run it in the rain either. Good luck |
| Jim Loveridge | Mark, be sure you refill with hydraulic fluid. The NAA isn't like the earlier N series tractors. I get mine at a NAPA store it's just Valvoline Hydraulic oil. Hope that helps. If not it may be a tired pump, sticking relief valve or other things.

| Mark S. Indiana | Thanks Jim, The book says Type A or B depending on temperature. I also thought the hyd. fluid at NAPA or TSC Ford hydraulic fluid. TSC says it is for use in older Ford tractors. Thanks Mark S.
