2n hydraulic problem
| phil white | Hi i hope someone can help! just purchased a 1946 2n with a sherman trans. It has a backblade.I drove and operated the blade for 10 min. The blade locked in the up position about a foot off the ground. It won't go up or down. I removed the oil (which was milky) and replaced it with hyd tran oil.At this time the arms would come up a little each time i engaged the clutch but wouldn't go down.(all levers engaged and the pto is turning) this time when i removed the oil i allso removed the presure test plug and the arms went down, i then flushrd it with diesel fuel and replaced the oil again. Still nothing. there is no spray or turbalance when inspected thru dip stick cover.Sure could use some advice on what to do next. |
| Ken N Tx | What type of oil are you using??

| Bob G | Sounds like the exhaust control valve may be stuck. if you do not have one i owuld get the I&T FO-4 service manual. has a good section on the hydrualic system

| Ralph Westwood | I am having a similar problem - did you find out what was causing the problem and how to fix it? Thanks for any advice. Ralph |
