about crankshafts on 800-900 series diesel tractors

john Someone told me that the crankshafts were easy to break because ford used the same crankshaft in the diesels that was made for the gas tractors. I don't believe this is very much of a problem unless someone overworked the tractor or just abused it. My great uncle had a 851 diesel and bought it new he pulled a 10 foot bushog with it since when he bought it and he gave it hell and today this same tractor still runs and is in decent mechanical condition. Is the thing about the crankshaft true?
