||When I am driving the tractor under load it works fine for awhile and then it sputters and dies. I noticed that when It starts to die I can see alot of air bubbles being forced into the glass fuel bowl and the air then goes up and into the gas tank. The bubbles keep coming even when the tractor is off. The air seems to be coming through the carburator, into the fuel bowl and out into the tank. I checked all of my fuel conections and they are all tight and dry. I also checked the gasket that goes between the carb and the engine and it is solid. I am a complete novice on tractor repair and any advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
||i think that your fuel tank fill cap vent is plugged, next time that it starts to sputter loosen the fuel fill cap and see if it clears up.with a plugged fill cap the tank would be under a high vacuum this would pull air through the carb and into the tank as you describe.
