| Mike Walsh | Our model 640 Ford tractor runs great when it runs. We can't seem to be able to figure this one out. It seems like it is starving for fuel. I rebuilt the carb (adjusted float, new needle valve and seat, cleaned all ports pretty throughlly), had the gas tank cleaned (boiled, and a new liner installed, checked the fuel line and tank shut off valve/ ports. After running for 300' - 500'it starts stammering (loss of power... then picks back up, and repeats with a regular rythum). Would greatly appreciate any one who could help get to the bottom of this problem!!!

| paul denney | I bought a 600 w loader because I wanted the loader for my ford 801. The ford 600 ran just like you describe. Problem was fouled spark plugs, I couldn't replace them often enough. With new plugs ran great for a few hours, then loss of power. I got rid of tractor.

| Mat | I had a simular problem with my 640. I changed the gas line to go out the front and along the side so it doesn't run down behind the exhaust manifold and has worked fine.
