This Saturday I was running my Ford 3k and the lift stopped working, however I can depress the draft control lever and it will raise and it holds an implement without bleeding down. It just will not lift unless I depress the draft lever. I am new to this tractor and would like to know what to look for. I do have a manual and am good mechanically and have been considering doing any maintenance myself. Any ideas for a simple fix? I was running a box blade when it quit working.

check your flow control , take it out and clean it up

I had similar problems and ended up replacing or cleaning both hydralic filters under the lift cover. they both were in bad shape. after the cleaning/replacement my lift worked again and even holds pressure and stop hiccuping. by the way if you open the lift cove you will need new gasket and o rings. you must remove the pto lever and pto shaft to replace the bottom filter.

My dad has a 3000 that the power lift chatters going up and is slow to go up. He has rebuilt control valve, cleaned filters, and rebuilt the lift. Still has same problem. Any ideas?
