| Don Handley | My 1910 tachometer reads incorrect. Just wondering if I should replaced the tach and flex shaft as a set. I know the tach was replaced with a used one when I bought it several years ago and can only assume the shaft is original (1984). New tach is $125 and shaft is $23. I can't locate new parts for less than that unless anybody knows better. Thanks, Don.

| RickB | I can't imagine how a new cable would damage your tach. If your present tach turns without too much effort, I'd try the cable first for 20% of the cost of a new tach.
