|Roy Fauber||My Ford 860, late '55 model, has a Vickers Vane-type pump which has failed. I've found a source for a rebuilt pump ($500), but would prefer to rebuild the original. I've been unable to locate a rebuild kit.
1/ Any ideas where I can get one?
2/ Should I scrap the vane-type pump and replace it with the piston-type pump?
|RickB.||Find a rebuilt or rebuildable piston pump, and the required oil manifold for it. Do not throw away $500 on your vane pump or any other vane pump.
