|Roy Chidester||I need to replace some bad wiring in a 9n I recently purchased. Several people have told me a conversion to a 12v system is the way to go. Several questions 1) is this a good idea? If so, how can I locate complete instructions on rewiring and what components need to be changed out. I am somewhat mechanically inclined but no experience with tractors. help!!
|Salmoneye||Wireing harness for 9N is $15-$20 delivered.
If the existing 6-volt system is in working order, there is no need to convert.
My 8N 6-volt starts to 20 below here in Vermont all winter with no trouble.
If you need to run 12 volt equipment such as a sprayer etc, then do yourself a favour and do the conversion right and buy a kit...
|David cox||I recently purchased a 9n myself and need the same info about complete instructions and what components need to be changed. What about the lights that are 6 volt do they need to be rewired??
