801 fuel shut off valve replacement question

lew of vividere My new 801 fuel shut off valve is leaking and I wasn't the one who replaced it a year ago. Do I have to raise the tank or can I get to it by removing the valve cover? I have a front end loader which surrounds the front half of the tractor which makes access real hard. I have never removed the hood.

Thanks in advance for any tips on how to perform the task.

okzeus I just replaced my fuel valve on my 801. You DON'T have to take the tank off! Just take the 2 bolts on the bottom off, pull out the old valve, put in the new one with the o-ring and put the 2 bolts back on. Make sure you drain the tank first.
