need help to identify ford backhoe model

mark w. I just bought and was told that it was a ford 5000
I need to buy parts for it so i need to get a manual and to do that i need to make sure what it is.
------------------------------------------------
The numbers i found inside the hood for battery compartment were these.

C267954
D5011K 0D6B
0A14B
9H29B 0B20B

------------------------------------------------
Found another plate ON FRONT LOADER ARM

FORD
19-501
D5*9443 * = COULD NOT READ 3RD DIGIT
WOULD ONLY BE A 9,8,3,OR 0

------------------------------------------------
found another on the backhoe itself

FORD
19-551
RI0I530
------------------------------------------------

Sean in PA Model number D5011K:

D - 4000 series
50 - Industrial chassis
first 1 - Diesel engine
second 1 - No PTO
K - 6/4 manual reversing transmission

So it looks like you've got a 4500, not a 5000. The main difference is the number of cylinders, the horsepower and the weight. If it has 4 cylinders then it is a 5000 series engine, and if it is a 3 cylinder engine then it is a 4000 series.

Production code 0A14B:
0 - 1970
A - January
14 - 14th day of month
B - Day shift

It was made on January 14th, 1970, and the serial number C267954 agrees that it was made in 1970.

I don't know much about the backhoe and loader models, but hopefully someone else here will chime in.

Shaun Wallace Sean in PA has the model correct. 4500s have 3 cyl eng.

Re: need help to identify ford backhoe model

Thanks Sean,
So the model number D5011K makes it a 4000 series tractor with a 3 cylinder diesel but how did you come up with 4500?

When ordering parts it may not matter if it is a 4000 or 4500 as long as i order for a 4000 series?

Maybe the 4500 is because it is industrial chassis?

Sean in PA Yes, the 50 in the model number designates it as an industrial chassis, and it was referred to as the 4500. Engine parts should be the same as a 4000 3 cylinder diesel. Front axle parts will be different, as well as some other chassis related parts.
Mark W. Sean,
Thank you so very much for the information.

Since you know a lot about these, do you know a good website to order parts from for this Model?

JK-Mi The loader is a Model 740 and the backhoe is a Model 755 15 footer.
