keep breaking my fan

dave o Twice now, I have broken a blade on my 871. when i run it by hand I don't see it near anything.I did watch it today at low idle, and noticed the pully shaft wobbling, this is an obvious wobble due to the imbalance of missing a blade, but could the wobble have been the cause of the breaking? I think it hits the high point of the front axle pivot point. When i get a new fan, would it be wise to grind it down and make it shorter, using a lawnmower balencer as a way of keeping balance. Also could my altinator/fan belt be to tight.
hay water pump shaft wobbling due to worn bearing. When NOT RUNNING grab the fan and try to move it sideways and up and down . If it moves replace the water pump.
dave o Is there any ryme or readon to there being 2 styles of fans available? There is a 3 blade and a 6 blade. The 6 blade is alittle smaller in diameter than the 3 blade which may be a less costly solution. I would hate to replace the waterpump now, after the new carb and now the new fan. "Hay" you seem to be a go to guy, how long have you been into Ford tractors? Where abouts are you situated?
hay just by what you said about the fan makes me believe the waterpump shaft is wobbly and causing the fan to hit something and break. Check also the pully for wobble and make sure the fan is on all the way and the bolts are tight. If the fan is not on tight it can wobble off.
