ford 4500 loader 3 pt lift problem
| larry bradford | position control was frozen so i freed all the linkages up replaced filter/o rings cleaned the lift cyl. relief valve replaced balls/springs , cages in pump had the top off twice w/ no evidence of hyd. fluid at the inlet/outlet .. also need to know where to tap into the system to ck. pressure? any help's much appreciated !! larry |
| Billy | Just wanting to start with the simplest things first. Did you try bleeding the air out of the hyd pump after your repairs were made? If not the bleeder plug is located in the back end of the hyd pump just unscrew it and start the tractor but be careful because if the pump is working properly it will pump a lot of oil out quickly.(get ready to kill the engine). then replace the plug and see if the lift starts to work. This bleeder plug is also where you plumb a gauge to check pressure but you will only see pressure here when the lift has a load on it.
